Yes! But you don't have to take our word for it, just try it yourself! Most DAWs have some kind of simple audio to MIDI conversion but they usually fail for polyphonic audio(when multiple notes play at the same time). There are also online solutions like Basic Pitch or AI-MIDI that offer audio to MIDI but are not as accurate as Samplab. On top of that we are the only online service capable of transcribing drums into kick, snare, cymbals. What if there is both percussive and harmonic content in my audio? If you want to separate the percussive and harmonic content, you can use the our Desktop App or Plugin to split the audio into vocals, bass, instrumental and drums before transcribing it. Is this service free? Yes! You can convert and download audio snippets of 10 seconds at a time for free or transcribe audio as long as you want with our premium plan to help us out with the server costs. Which audio formats are supported? We support wav, mp3, flac, ogg, mp4, m4a, webm, opus, alac and aiff files. If you have a different format, we might still be able to transcribe it.
